Project Brief
Design a product for a pre-existing brand that is not part of their current line up.
Solution
An easy to clean controller for KFC that would pair with their concept gaming system; the KFConsole.
I took apart a game controller to understand the inter components. From there I studied KFC’s branding and packaging. I also learned more about the console, its main feature was a chicken warming basket that allowed gamers to keep their KFC hot while in gaming sessions.
I moved forward with the waterproof design in C5 but decided to combine the shape of the Colonel‘s tie from C2 with the minimalistic design of the KFC console. I used Gravity Sketch to determine button layout on the final controller.
After determining the final design I decided to keep the CMF close to the packaging of the brand.
